Rebeca Escribens is a well-known name in the Peruvian entertainment industry. She is an actress, a TV host, a radio host and a producer who has been active since 2000. She is best known for hosting the segment América espectáculos on América Televisión, where she covers the latest news and gossip about celebrities and showbiz.
Escribens was born on June 11, 1972 in Lima, Peru. She is a cousin of the psychologist and actor Javier Echevarría Escribens. She started her career in 1991, when she participated in the contest Buscando a la paquita peruana, hosted by Gian Marco and Mari Pili Barreda. She then took theater workshops with Aristóteles Picho, Roberto Ángeles and Maritza Tutti.
She made her debut as an actress in 1997, playing an employee of a record company in the telenovela La rica Vicky. She then appeared in other telenovelas such as Latin Lover (2001), Luciana y Nicolás (2003), Nunca te diré adiós (2005), Pobre millonaria (2007) and Los Barriga (2008), where she played the villain Isabela Luján.
She also ventured into cinema, starring in the comedy Baño de damas (2003) and the thriller Talk Show (2006). She also lent her voice to the animated film La búsqueda del diente mágico (2009).
